Now I’m Excited! Niche Site Duel 2.0 Is Here!

If you haven’t heard, Niche Site Duel 2.0 is an online challenge put on by my unofficial mentor – he has no idea he is my mentor.  Pat Flynn over at Smart Passive Income will be officially launching the Niche Site Dual 2.0 Challenge some time tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22, 2013.  His site is my main inspirations for building this blog and getting started on my journey towards an online income.

About the challenge, it is a public challenge to create a niche website from scratch, rank it high in Google and start earning an income from it.  Pat will be participating in the challenge, and post details about what he is doing and how things are working out.  This will be an incredible learning experience for anyone interested in niche site building.

In the launch post Pat will be revealing the following, (taken directly from this pre-launch post at Smart Passive Income):

  1. How you can follow along and participate.
  2. The application process for joining the ‘learning group’ of 5 people who I will personally select to not only ‘coach’, but learn with while we build our niche sites together.
  3. And also details about the schedule and what to expect.

Here’s hoping I somehow make it into the learning group!  Regardless, I’m hoping to learn a lot by seeing a niche site researched and built from the ground up.

Cheers!

Lyle, did you send an application to join Pat’s mastermind group for this project? I did, but with over 500 applicants the odds are not great. Either way I would like to join or start a mastermind group with other like minded people. Any interest?

  2. Hi Gregg. Sadly, I didn’t apply for the mastermind group. I’ve already been spreading myself a bit thin, so I didn’t want to commit to something like that where I wouldn’t be able to give it 100%. What did you have in mind for your mastermind group?

Lyle, I was thinking a group of about four to seven people working on their own niche sites. We could share current resources, tactics and things that work (and don’t work), plus give each other support. We could meet on a schedule, either weekly or biweekly via conference call or google plus hangout. Kind of like what Pat is planning to do with his group of 5 but much more informal.

  3. Hi Gregg, I would definitely be interested in doing something like that. I should let you know that this is my first venture into building niche sites. It definitely wouldn’t hurt to be able to bounce ideas off other people.
